Description

The Institute of High Energy Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences is a comprehensive research base engaged in high energy physics, advanced accelerator physics and technology, advanced ray technology and its application, and has built a series of large-scale scientific facilities in China, such as Beijing Electron Positron Collider (BEPC), China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS), High Energy Photon Source (HEPS), etc.
The IHEP Document Management System(IHEP Docs)is designed and built in order to solve the management and utilization problems of a large number of high-value unstructured date such as research documents, technical documents and management documents generated in the process of research activities, research management and construction of large-scale facilities. The system is adopted the concept of unstructured data middle center and the architecture of unstructured content data bus which connects the two key platforms, the unified management services and the integrated application services, and deployed with lightweight cloud services, in order to ensures the efficient connection of different services and the efficient flow of unstructured data.
The management platform provides front-end services such as organization structure, document management, authentication and authority management, etc. The application platform provided an integrated application services such as collaborative editing of office documents, preview of CAD documents, OCR identification of picture documents, smart collaborative sheet, customizable document workflows, powerful search engine with AI, etc. Meanwhile, Anti-virus system and data loss prevention system are also integrated to protect the security of the IHEP Docs system and user data all the time.
IHEP Docs is expected to eliminate the data silos among different systems and different departments, realize an effective life-cycle management and a fully exploited value of the documents.
