        Many organizations are starting to deploy cloud infrastructures to support the computational efforts of their research communities the same way that 20 years ago batch computing environments based around HPC or COTS clusters triggered the development of grid software to integrate these local clusters. This workshop will illustrate some of the current efforts to bring these private clouds together into a federated infrastructure available for systematic remote access.
